The first scholarship
application from District Lodge No. 9 available now is
for those
children or grandchildren of our lodge members that wish to learn or brush
up on their Swedish. District Lodge Pennsylvania No. 9 is once again
offering a language scholarship to Concordia Language
Village. These courses have received rave reviews and there are
schools for various Scandinavian languages. In addition to the application
form itself, additional requirements include: a short essay, 2 letters of recommendation, verification of parents or
grandparents membership, and school transcripts.

The second scholarship
application from District Lodge No. 9 available now is the
Scandinavian Cultural Opportunity for Learning
Scholarship for lodge members who have been in good standing for
at least a year and wish to pursue a worthwhile Scandinavian education or
cultural activity either in the U.S., Sweden, or other Scandinavian
destination. It will pay up to $1500 for all related costs and expenses.
Additional requirements include information on proposed activity,
verification of membership, and a short essay. |
