The Swedish Embassy in Washington D.C. is organizing the first ever Midsummer Festival on Midsummer Eve June 20, 2025 at 6 PM - 9 PM.  

The event will take place on the lawn near the Washington Monument on the Sylvan Theatre Stage. At 6 PM traditional Midsummer celebration with song and dance. Swedish musical acts (traditional and jazz music) will perform 7 PM - 9 PM. Bring your own picnic and enjoy the program on the lawn in front of the stage. 

This event is free and open to the public. 

We encourage public transportation. Nearest Metro: Smithsonian (Orange, Silver, Blue line). Parking available at local parking garages.
