Dear Members and Goodbye Winter – Welcome Spring and Summer!
Welcome to a joyful special celebration of Swedish Valborg and Finnish Vappu!
For various reasons, we cannot arrange our traditional Valborg celebration this year.
So instead, we warmly invite you to join us on Zoom next Monday April 27th for a 50-minute program filled with Valborg and Vappu spring celebration, music, videos, bonfires and shared memories. Whether you have celebrated many times before or are new to the traditions, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect and enjoy together.
Program highlights include:
· Traditional Valborg songs performed by Swedish academic and student choirs
· History of Valborg
· A glimpse of the festive fun and a little crazy Chalmers Cortège 2025
· Finnish Vappu celebration
· Memories and photos from our own past Valborg celebrations
· Virtual Bonfire
· Chat around the Bonfire – What are your memories from Valborg or Vappu?
· A relaxed and cheerful gathering with fellow members and friends
